Unlike Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which focus on buying, Giving Tuesday is about giving back. It’s a day when nonprofits, businesses, and caring community members unite to support causes that make a difference.
Why Giving Tuesday Matters at EOAC
Every day, EOAC works to fight poverty, remove barriers, and create opportunities across the Heart of Texas. From Head Start, to Weatherization, Utility Assistance, Case Management, Emergency Relief, and more — we serve thousands of families each year through programs that help stabilize households and build brighter futures.
But we cannot do it alone.
Many of our programs are funded strictly for specific purposes. When a family calls with a need that falls outside of those requirements, we often have to say no — not because we don’t have the ability, but because we lack flexible funding to step in.
Giving Tuesday allows us to say yes more often.
