Success starts with opportunity—and opportunity often begins with the right training and support. EOAC’s EmpowerU program helps individuals gain the skills, certifications, and confidence they need to pursue stable careers and build greater stability for their families.

By removing financial barriers and offering one-on-one guidance, EmpowerU helps participants focus on learning and career goals instead of worrying about how to pay for essentials. The result: stronger skills, better career opportunities, and families moving forward toward lasting stability.

What EmpowerU Offers

Impact Stories

EmpowerU changes lives — one person at a time.

Delvon Rice A single father determined to build a better life, Delvon earned his CDL through EmpowerU and went on to add Hazmat and Tankers certifications. Now on the road and gaining experience, he’s working toward launching his own trucking business to create lasting stability for his family. Darrell Tate Facing overdue rent, food insecurity, and no way to pay for training, Darrell received tuition, rental, grocery, and transportation support through EmpowerU. With that help, he completed CDL training and passed his exam — turning overwhelming challenges into a path toward steady employment. Karicia Parker A single mom of three, Karicia earned her Culinary Arts degree at TSTC and placed 3rd at the SkillsUSA State competition. With support from EmpowerU, she’s now serving seniors with care and working toward her dream of owning a food truck and providing school meals to children.

By the Numbers (2025)

  • 36 unemployeed adults obtained employment above a living wage
  • 33 participants earned industry-recongnized credentials
  • 66 clients received career coaching and/or resume development and interview skills training

Eligibility Requirements

Applicant must be a resident of Bosque, Falls, Freestone, Hill, Limestone, or McLennan, counties.

Household must meet Federal Income Guideline Requirements.
