We’re honored to share that EOAC Head Start was recently featured on KCEN-TV, highlighting a powerful truth: for nearly six decades, our Early Childhood program has been building brighter futures for children and families across the Heart of Texas.
A Legacy of Trusted Service Since 1966
Since 1966, EOAC has served families throughout central Texas with a strong belief: every child — regardless of background — deserves a foundation of safety, education, and opportunity.
Through Head Start and Early Head Start:
- Children receive early learning and school-readiness programs
- Families gain access to nutritious meals and health screenings
- Parents get support, resources, and opportunities for stability
This long history isn’t just about time — it’s about impact, trust, and community.
Why It Matters Now More Than Ever
Early childhood is a critical window. As described by the national Head Start program, thoughtful early education supports children’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development — and lays the groundwork for lifelong success.
By serving children from birth to age five, EOAC’s Head Start helps families in low-income or vulnerable situations access quality childcare, education, nourishment, and stability — making long-term difference in children’s lives and in our neighborhoods.
EOAC’s Role: Community Action, Community Impact
At EOAC, we don’t just manage a childcare program — we are a Community Action Agency. Our mission is to meet people where they are and walk alongside them toward stability, dignity, and opportunity.
Being featured by KCEN-TV reminds us — and our community — that:
- Our decades-long work matters
- Our staff and teachers are dedicated
- Our programs truly change lives
