EOAC is proud to announce that we have been selected as a 2025 Workforce Development Grant recipient through the Texas Mutual Foundation. EOAC received $70,000 to strengthen and expand our EmpowerU program — a critical initiative that helps individuals gain job skills, overcome barriers, and build pathways toward long-term stability.
This year, Texas Mutual awarded grants to 58 organizations statewide, supporting work that addresses workforce training, safety education, and community resilience. EOAC is honored to be among the organizations chosen for this investment.
What This Grant Means for EmpowerU
EmpowerU provides coaching, case management, education support, and career guidance to individuals who want to build skills and secure higher-paying employment. With this $70,000 grant, EOAC will be able to:
- Serve more participants in 2026
- Strengthen job-readiness and financial literacy curriculum
- Expand coaching and career navigation services
- Connect more individuals with certification training and employment opportunities
- Reduce barriers that keep families from achieving stability
