Today marks the beginning of a new school year for children and families across EOAC Head Start and Early Head Start, and we could not be more excited to welcome everyone back.
The first day of school is filled with big moments. New classrooms. New teachers. New friends. New routines. And for many of our youngest learners, it may be one of their very first steps into a classroom environment.
At EOAC, we know those first steps matter.
More Than a First Day
Head Start and Early Head Start are about much more than preparing children academically. Our programs support the whole child by creating safe, nurturing environments where children can learn, explore, build relationships, and develop the skills they need for future success.
Throughout the year, children will experience hands-on learning, nutritious meals and snacks, opportunities for social and emotional development, and support tailored to their individual needs.
Families are an important part of that journey too.
Our teachers, Family Advocates, center staff, and support teams work alongside parents and caregivers to help children succeed while also connecting families with resources, goal-setting opportunities, and additional support when needed.
Moving Families Forward From the Very Beginning
This school year also reflects the larger purpose behind EOAC’s work: Moving Families Forward.
Sometimes moving forward begins with something as simple as a child walking into a classroom for the first time.
It happens when a child discovers a love of learning.
When a parent feels supported.
When a teacher celebrates a new skill.
When a family knows they have a team standing beside them.
Each of those moments helps build the foundation for our vision of Every Family Thriving.
